This is my first time ever making a piece of furniture.

This bench is made with macrocarpa slabs that offer that beautiful live edge that has knots and texture. Either way this live edge walnut bench is one of those kinds of projects and just might be one of my favorites ever. The legs are very simple so it offers a clean line and the live edge wood on top of the coffee table really adds character to the table. A great inspiration for your own diy projects or commissions.

If you ve been following along for a bit you ll know that i recently challenged myself to build a custom live edge dining table with welded legs for my family spoiler alert it turned out awesome. The only thing missing however was a custom bench to go along with the table. The walnut dining table has 2 bookmatched live edge rustic walnut slabs with a blue epoxy river in the middle. In addition to the table top i built a black walnut bench seat and farmhouse trestle bottom.

This is how i put together my first live edge project. On october 12 2019. The table bottom and bench disassemble to make it easier to ship and move from room to room or house to house. This was an easy project that went together really nicely.
