E30 wet carpet drivers side.

I have a bmw 325es 2 door. Most of the dampness is towards the center area and the console area. The drivers side floor had too much carpet and the passenger didn t have enough. Lifted the drivers side floor mat and found the carpet under it is damp.

I noticed a weird smell in the car so i started sniffing around. The car was sitting out overnight in heavy rain 2 days ago. I didn t have enough carpet to fully go up the firewall under the glove box and i had way too much material behind the drivers seat. Ran water down the drain under windscreen on the driver side and it seemed to exit from the driver side sill.

While water poured into passenger side drain under windscreen exited from the elephant trunk. No other area of the carpet seems wet. Get it wed sep 30 mon oct 5. E30 wet carpet posted.
